Fred Deakin put it nicely in his liner notes for The Triptych:
"I'm sure I'm stating the obvious but it is quite amazing that you can go to Japan and there will be entire youth cults devoted to the West London sound. I think we take the inventiveness of our music for granted in this country. The Bugz and their broken beat buddies are making the music of the future and they should be supported wherever possible."
