Back by popular demand, the Forest Drive to the Blaize Bailey viewpoint and surrounding woodland will be open on Sundays in August. On a clear day, sights from the view point include Gloucester Cathedral and Slimbridge over the countryside and local villages. Cars and minibuses can access the 3 mile circular drive from Soudley Ponds car park, situated off the Upper Soudley to Littledean minor road. A simple route map and information on the area will be provided before embarking on the scenic drive. No coach access, cars and minibuses only.

Extra date added this year in October to take in the stunning autumn colours

How to get there:
Blaize Bailey Forest Drive starts at Soudley Ponds in Forest Of Dean. Cinderford is the nearest town or village.

Soudley Ponds are located close to the Dean Heritage Centre which is signed on the main Forest roads. Once in the village of Soudley take the minor road (opposite the White Horse pub) towards Littledean, turn right into the Soudley Ponds car park after half a mile.
