Charo and her Las Vegas show! at the Herbst August 6, 2005

Born Maria Rosario Pilar Martinez Molina Baeza in Murcia, Spain, she's known around the world simply as "Charo." But she?s more than just "cuchi cuchi!" Charo studied classical guitar with Andres Segovia, the father of modern classical guitar music, has twice been named the "Best Flamenco Guitarist in the World" by Guitar Player Magazine; recorded a CD, "Guitar Passion" that went Platinum; and received a Latin Grammy award for the "Best Female Album of the Year." She holds the record for the most Love Boat appearances (21?!), was a regular on Hollywood Squares, Johnny Carson, The Merv Griffin Show, played "Aunt Charo" on Chico and the Man... Charo has recently been seen on the reality TV show, "The Surreal Life."

Charo will play solo Flamenco guitar for part of the show and will be accompanied by a 3-piece band and 4 Las Vegas dancers for the other.
