The topic of how rational design is revolutionizing chemistry research will be discussed of the next Nano Lunch on Thursday, June 12. The lunchtime forum, sponsored by the Clean Tech Institute and the International Association of Nanotechnology, will take place from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at 1290 Parkmoor Ave., San Jose.
Pankaj Dhingra, CEO of Redwood City-based Nanostellar, Inc., will talk about significant developments in nanotechnology and its application on reducing exhaust emissions.

Nanostellar, Inc. uses a unique nanotechnology methodology to develop precious-metals containing materials for the automotive and stationary power industries, enabling these industries to meet stringent diesel emissions-control requirements mandated in Europe, the U.S. and Asia. The company delivers nano-engineered catalyst materials that reduce exhaust emissions and increase effectiveness of precious metals in these catalysts by 25%-30%. A clean-technology company, Nanostellar is committed to delivering revolutionary pollution control materials that will deliver cleaner air and fewer environmental toxins.

An overview of clean tech and nanotech training programs offered by the California Institute of Nanotechnology will also be presented, as well as financing options. Networking opportunities will take place before and after the presentation.

Networking will be held from 11:30 a.m.-noon, with the program being held from noon-1:30 p.m. A light lunch will be served. Cost is $10/non-members; free to members. Register online now at http://ianano.org/Nanolunch.htm. Call (408) 280-6222 for more information.
