"Ever since childhood, I've loved swimming pools. Still taken with them as an adult, I revel in the peaceful magical environment under the water. In my paintings, I strive to capture the joy and freedom of swimmers. I love to portray them in the water's ever changing, abstract environment, created by motion and light, whether it's a cloud of bubbles, or the light dancing on or below the surface, creating colorful reflections of every shape. I play with the compositions to keep the paintings fresh and interesting... the same subject, yet always different."
