Project Management and Program Management are professions found in dozens of industries: banking, biotech, computers, instrumentation, motion pictures, pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, software, telecommunications, and more.
According to the Brainbench Global Skills Report, Project Management is the most certifiable skill in the world.
Program Management, also known as Portfolio Management, is one of the most influential positions in modern industry and government.
The De Anza College Project Management Practitioner Certificate is a highly affordable program comparable to much more expensive training. Each class is 4 or 5 units and the total program is 21 units. Community College tuition is only $13/unit. Fees and book expenses are also required.
Three of the five classes in the Certificate are offered in the Spring Term at the Cupertino Campus. These include:
CIS 95C Risk Assessment and Mitigation, Wednesdays 6:00PM-9:40PM
CIS 95D Managing Outsourcing, Tuesdays 8:20PM-11:00PM
CIS 079/Bus 088 Managing Technology Projects, Date and Time To be Announced
The other two classes in the Certficate Program are:
CIS 95A Project Management - A Practicum
CIS 95B Project Monitoring and Controlling - A Practicum
The April 2 session will include information on content of the classes and on how to be admitted to De Anza College and register for one or more classes, a process that takes less than 30 minutes.
Each class may also be taken on a stand-alone basis. In addition to the skills and knowledge acquired in these classes, participants gain a valuable career-long network of local professionals.
