Join the National Museum of Health and Medicine for a unique Valentine's Day program. Using specimens on display and models from the Museum's collections, take a look at how a heart begins and grows. Observe as Museum staff dissect hearts from a reptile, mammal, and bird to demonstrate similarities and differences between bird and mammal anatomy. Try your hand at making a medical illustration from the dissections or create an anatomically-correct Valentine's Day card. Supplies will be provided.
