Like the legendary bird, the Dean Heritage Centre will be rising from the ashes, after the terrible blaze back in December last year that damaged much of the roof and destroyed many of the artefacts!

On Sunday 21st February, the staff and volunteers look forward to extending a warm welcome to the public, offering ‘Free Entrance’ all day from 10 am and complimentary tea, coffee and cake at the Heritage Centre’s café. Other food will also be available at the regular prices.

On display will be an exhibition showing the damage caused by the fire so that visitors can come along and see what plans the Museum has in place to clean, repair and refurbish the building and items damaged in the recent incident.

Do join us to see for yourselves how the Museum is determined to continue to preserve the heritage of the Forest of Dean for future generations!!!
