– Kevin Lawler , graduate of Pratt University in New York, presents for the first time, a series of original oils paintings. Lawler’s collection radiates with the torturous expression of the late British painter, Francis Bacon. Each of Lawler’s canvases converges on a suffering figure, with emotional resonance intensified by the immediacy of Lawler’s brush strokes and intriguing color arrangements. This is the second artist that has been featured by Sparky’s Café’s monthly artist rotation. Join Lawler at his opening reception, Wednesday, March 7th featuring a Fancy Pants DJ playing indie obscurities, from 6-8:30 pm. Aside from the best Latte in town, Sparky’s also serves beer and wine and entry is free!!
