KICKDRUM+SNARE: Live Electronic Beat Battle July 28, 2012

The Live Beat Hub is proud to present KICKDRUM+SNARE, L.A.’s first and only prize-based beat battle.
“This unique event is founded upon a once small online community collective idea which started last year around the art of beat-making, analog and software instruments, and live electronic performance. The group involves a wide range of electronic artists including DJ Tech Tools, Novation contest winner Bandesnaci, LA’s famous Circuit Bender Igor Amokian, as well as talented rookies in the world of live beat performance.”

Participants in this battle will be judged on the basis of uniqueness, technical skill, and performance by established, accomplished electronic artists such as Side Brain (an Ableton Certified Trainer), Nick Nutrick from Apogee Electronics, and Elos from Alpha Pup Records. Long Beach art curator/ MC Ryan Andrew Smith (Grits Ripley) and Rahfee Zahkee are the evening’s hosts.
