L.A. County Fire Department's "Fire Service Day" May 30, 2009

Firefighters from the Los Angeles County Fire Department invite you to join them on Saturday, May 30 to celebrate Fire Service Day. Firefighters and paramedics will perform special operations, including “the jaws of life,” fire extinguisher demonstrations, helicopter landings, and much more!

Kids of all ages will be sure to enjoy the highly-trained search and rescue dogs, as they display their skills in locating victims. The community is welcome to tour the fire station, climb on the engines, and spray water from fire hoses.

Come by and get fire safety information for your home and business and meet your local firefighters!

Also in attendance: L.A. County Sheriff’s Dept. with their S.W.A.T. and Arson units, Lifeguards, Forestry, CERT, Compton Fire Dept., and the LA Galaxy soccer team will offer discount tickets.

Fire Service Day will be held Saturday, May 30th from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Home Depot Center parking lot across from Fire Station 116. The address is 755 Victoria St. in Carson, near Avalon Blvd.
