PHP Summer School July 15, 2007

DRI, the official Zend partner in Portugal, is promoting the first "PHP Summer School" that will occur from 16th to 24th of July in Lisbon with the colaboration of Caixa Mágica Software.

The PHP Summer School consolidates the strategy of DRI that consists in promoting PHP language and contributing for its expansion in the national market. This effort is included in the main mission that corresponds to the spread of the Zend brand and the gradual and consistent implementation of its PHP solutions in Portugal.

The main goal of this joint initiative between DRI and Caixa Mágica Software is to foment the development of PHP and to fulfill the visible gap concerning the insufficient number of professionals in the enterprise market with advanced abilities in this language. The training will be supported by Portal SAPO and Zend Technologies, who also contribute to the communication of the event.

The event will take place in Centro de Formação Caixa Mágica Software and intends to be a privileged channel of advanced formation in PHP and Linux, where the candidates interested in developing abilities in this language for professional purposes will have the chance to take advantage of a dynamic learning environment.

The PHP Summer School is configured to be the ideal complement for the acquisition of PHP knowledge by senior students of computer science courses, people in transition of jobs with background in computer science, programmers specialized in other languages that want to develop work in PHP and open source PHP developers.
