Summary: Web services have been primarily used for server to server communication. With the advent of Ajax and other RIA technology, however, it is becoming not only possible but practical to build user-centric composite applications that consume web services. In this session, you will learn how to build RIA-based service consumers using Ajax, Java, XML markup and other common technologies. Declarative UI layout/data binding, WSDL-driven consumer configuration, UI DOM modification and synchronous/asynchronous user interaction patterns will be covered in detail.
