Los Angeles - On Wed. January 18 @ 7:30pm the historic Million Dollar Theater, in partnership with the UCLA Film & T.V. Archive, will present the screening of two films by director SAMUEL FULLER (1912-1997): Shock Corridor (1963) and The Naked Kiss (1964). Actress and author CHRISTA LANG-FULLER will be in attendance to reminisce upon the life and work of her husband, whose autobiography "A Third Face: My Tale of Writing, Fighting and Filmmaking," she co-wrote. http://www.milliondollartheater.com/Events.html

SAMUEL FULLER (1912-1997)
Controversial, conscientious and explicit, were the qualities that made iconic director Sam Fuller a molotov cocktail of powerful cinema, no better exemplified than with these two morbid and haunting tales of society's weight crumbling upon the individual. First, is “Shock Corridor” (1963), with Peter Breck as the audacious reporter that willfully provokes to be interned into a sanitarium, with Constance Towers, as his partner in deceit. She also stars in the film to follow, “The Naked Kiss” (1964), a harrowing tale of a tormented woman committed to escape a life of prostitution. Kelly (Towers), meets up with a roster of small town characters, among them, Police Captain Griff, played by Anthony Eisle. These are films you won't forget!
