GOLDEN SILENTS PRESENTS THE BLACK PIRATE
FEB 6 & 7

Douglas Fairbanks, Alloy Orchestra - what more could you want?

This swashbuckling nautical adventure, starring the incomparable DOUGLAS FAIRBANKS, made film history as one of the first full features shot entirely in Technicolor. Fairbanks plays a nobleman who wants to revenge his father's murder, so he boards a pirate vessel disguised as one of the thieving, villainous pirates, and sets about achieving his goal. On the high seas, he provides a no-holds- barred, rip-roaring, stunt-filled voyage - complete with a one-man takeover of a merchant ship. This film combines a gripping plot with some of the most gorgeous footage of the silent era in a new 35mm print.

The Black Pirate will be accompanied by the incomparable ALLOY ORCHESTRA with their newest, and, many say, best score for silent films.
