The Joys of the Forest November 11, 2011

An exhibition of paintings by Sarah King.

Sarah has been painting the Forest of Dean for four years using oil on canvas to depict light and energy that filters through the forest trees.

Commenting on the exhibition Sarah said: ‘I have called this exhibition, “The Joy of the Forest,” because in the aftermath of the fears that much of the Forest was in danger of being sold off I have chosen to celebrate with joy the choices made to
keep our forest and the overall management of it within the forest.'

The exhibition will feature images from all of the seasons including wildlife, flora and fauna and local towns and villages.
