The festival programmers boast this year's lineup of films is the strongest in the fest's 12-year history. Also, the Method Fest will now show over 100 films, the most in its 12-year-old history. In addition to two theaters at the Regency Agoura 8 Theaters, The Method Fest will now have an entire week, expanded schedule of films at Founders Hall at the Calabasas Civic Center.

Also added at Founders Hall, Calabasas, are a “Casting from High Budget to Low Budget” seminar, and Casting Directors/Acting Panel.

The Method Fest opens its 12th season with the strongest lineup ever, organizers say, and one that reflects excellence not just in American cinema, but worldwide as well. Strong storytelling, always a hallmark of The Method Fest, will be found in such standouts as:

The City of Your Final Destination, directed by James Ivory and starring Anthony Hopkins, Omar Metwally, Laura Linney, Charlotte Gainsbourg.

The Be All and End All, (world premiere) directed by Bruce Webb and starring Eugene Byrne, Josh Bolt, and Connor McIntyre;

Do Elephants Pray? (world premiere), helmed by Paul Hills and starring Jonnie Hurn and Julie Dray;

Pippa Scott returns to the big screen in Footprints. Along with director Steven Peros, she will attend the Q&A following the film's screening on Tuesday, March 30 at 7:00 pm at the Regency Agoura Hills 8, Theater 1.

The Good Heart , written and directed by Dagur Kari and starring Brian Cox and Paul Dano;

Parkour, (U.S. premiere) which just screened at the Berlin Film Festival, by German director Marc Rensing, starring Christoph Letkowski, Nora von Waldstatten;

Footprints (West Coast Premiere) The directing debut of screenwriter, Steven Peros (The Cat's Meow), and the return to the big screen of Pippa Scott (John Ford's The Searchers), both will attend the Q&A following.

UrFrenz, which premiered recently at Slamdance, directed by Jeff Phillips and starring Lily Holleman, Gayla Goehl and Najarra Townsend

The Lightkeepers, The Method Fest Centerpiece Film, directed by Daniel Adams, and staring Richard Dreyfuss, Blythe Danner, and Bruce Dern;

The Greatest, marking the directing debut of screenwriter Shana Feste and staring Pierce Brosnan, Carey Mulligan, and Susan Sarandon.

Homewrecker, directed by Todd and Brad Barnes, the co-Centerpiece film, that just screened at Sundance.

Mercy, directed by Patick Hoelck and starring James Caan and Scott Caan.

Named after the famous school of acting, The Method Fest is the only major film festival in the U.S. focusing on acting, celebrating breakout acting performances in story driven independent films. In only eight years, more than 140 films that have played / premiered at The Method Fest have gained theatrical release and/or TV and home video distribution.

In addition to the Indie Films, there will be a full Indie Music program with over 40 acts performing highlighted by Indie Music Night opening night at Sagebrush Cantina.
